Domestic Violence is more than physical. It often involves emotional abuse which is harder to recognize, but can leave longer lasting scars. The Circle of Inspiration Outreach Program offers a free semi-monthly support group for female survivor/victims of domestic abuse. The group is designed to help participants understand the physical, spiritual and psychological impact abuse has had in their lives. The goal of the Circle is to Strengthen Faith, Renew Hope and Restore the Capacity of Love.
Restorative Justice is a victim-centered response to crime that provides opportunities for all those directly affected to participate in repairing the harm caused by crime, Victims to Victory collaborates to provide restorative justice activities that include victims-offender dialogue, victim impact classes and training with correctional facilities, board of probation and parole, reentry and community-based programs..
Children and Youth
Children and Youth are survivors, too and are sometimes Overlooked. Victims to Victory offers referrals for you exposed to violent death and domestic crime in partnership with the Family Safety Center and the Shelby County NOVA, a Defending Childhood Initiative.
Faith-Based Training equips the Church for the work of the ministry. Studies indicate that people belonging to church families are more likely to turn to their clergy, than mental health agencies for guidance information and support in times of crisis. Victims to Victory provides speakers and training on trauma and victimization to assist clergy and lay leaders to respond to families after violent death, to assist members in abusive relationships and move.
